According to Apple, the iPhone 14 series' battery life is longer than previously. How would you compare it to a flagship Android device then?

To respond to that query, YouTuber TechDroider recently published a video in which he compares the battery life of the iPhone 14 Pro Max with that of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, as well as that of some of its competitors, including the OnePlus 10 Pro, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra, and Motorola Edge 30. Which mobile device has the most battery life?

TechDroider replicates user activities such as social media browsing, online browsing, YouTube watching, and even gaming. All models are optimized for WQHD+, the maximum resolution available.

While the Full HD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate of the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max remain the same. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra offers a Full HD+ resolution by default and up to 144Hz scan rates.

Playing PUBG Mobile for around two and a half hours on high settings is the first and most difficult test. According to the test results, the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max only lost 30% of their battery power after more than two hours and thirty minutes, whereas all of its Android rivals lost 65%.

The second test of all smartphone models performs simple tasks like surfing the web and watching Youtube, and Instagram, and each task takes about 2 hours. iPhone 14 Pro Max results still lead with 28% Battery after more than 8 hours and 30 minutes of testing, followed by iPhone 13 Pro Max with 26% Battery. While the OnePlus 10 Pro is only 17%, the Mi 12 Ultra is only 19%, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is only 15% and the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is 27%.

Testing video recording for more than 1 hour causes all phone models to run out of battery. The Galaxy S22 Ultra ran out of battery the earliest, followed by the OnePlus 10 Pro, Mi 12 Ultra, and Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.

Surprisingly, the iPhone 14 Pro Max with the task of recording video ran out of battery earlier than its predecessor iPhone 13 Pro Max. Thus, the flagship model with the longest battery life in Youtuber TechDroider's test is still the iPhone 13 Pro Max with a usage time of up to 10 hours 22 minutes while the iPhone 14 Pro Max is 10 hours 12 minutes.
